Our Story
Our mission is simple, to financially assist families who have experienced the death of a child by offering monetary grants to help with some portion of funeral costs. Our goal for this event is to raise enough money to secure assistance for our next 10 families who endure this devastating loss.
The SonShine Charitable Fund was established in Honor and Memory of Christopher John Conti I, who left us for Heaven on August 1st, 1984 at the age of 18. His joyful character and his warm and inviting smile were what he was known for throughout the communities of Laona and Fredonia.
With your support we can carry out our mission to help provide a small token, to help a family in need during what is the most difficult time they will experience. Your gift will allow us to help ease some of the burden associated with a difficult process.
As of June 5th 2025, thanks to the generosity of people like you, we have been able to assist 110 families in the WNY and Western PA area who have suffered the loss of a child (ages 1 to 19).
